Frequently asked questions

Do I need surgery, or can other treatment work first?

Dr Malik examines you and checks your X-rays or MRI. For many problems, medicines, physiotherapy or injections are tried first. Some problems need an operation sooner, such as a badly displaced fracture or a trapped nerve causing weakness. Dr Malik will explain why.

Can older patients have these treatments?

Yes. Age alone is not a barrier. The right treatment depends on the problem and on the patient’s general health, which is checked carefully before any decision.

Do I need a referral?

No. WhatsApp or call +92 300 4890692, or book at the reception of Omar Hospital & Cardiac Centre.

What tests will I need?

X-rays are usually the first test. Some problems need an MRI or CT scan. Blood tests are done if surgery is planned.

Will I need physiotherapy?

Yes, after most operations. Physio helps bring back movement and strength. Dr Malik’s team will tell you when and how to start.

How much does it cost?

We tell you the consultation fee on WhatsApp before you book, so there are no surprises. A follow-up visit within 5 days of your first consultation is free to go through your reports and scans.

The cost of surgery depends on the operation, the implant, the room and the nights in hospital. It is explained to you before you decide.

Already told you need an operation? A second opinion is your right. Ask us on WhatsApp.
